Sometimes it isnt as bad, and then other times the flaky skin is really bad. I dont know what to do. If anyone can give me an idea that would be great.

No, i havnt got it anywere else. Just on my scrotum. Is there any specific type of cream I can use to sort out this problem. I wear cotton underwear all the time, I always use very expensive soaps with only 5 ingredients in. I there any cream you would recommend? Im on holiday at the moment at it sometimes hurts when I go into the sea.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,

Are there other signs or symptoms present? Is there itching? This could be dry skin, a fungal infection, dermatitis or eczema. Extreme care should be exercised when treating your groin area  because this part has sensitive skin and can easily become irritated. Eczema is a form of dermatitis which presents as:  dryness and recurring skin rashes which are characterized by one or more of these symptoms: redness, skin edema, itching and dryness, crusting, flaking, blistering, oozing, or bleeding. Moisturizers, cold compresses, or wearing cotton underwear may help. Hypoallergenic detergents should be used. Eczema diagnosis is generally based on the lesion's appearance and some tests that your doctor may order such as skin patching or blood tests. Fungal infection, on the other hand,  can be diagnosed with microscopical analysis of the skin scrapings. This link may be helpful: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eczema

If your condition persists, it is best to see your doctor for further evaluation and management. Take care and keep us posted.

This sounds like eczema. Which is very dry itchy skin. Do you have it anywhere else?
Try changing your soap to an all natural oil based soap. Also use a mild moisturizer like cetaphil. Don't wash the area to much. Also check your detergent. You might want to change to an allergy free laundry detergent.
