Itchy Arms & hair loss??

I've had this for 2 years now, and I don't want to believe it is from the sun, but perhaps it is.  This year it started in June although we were at the beach in April and I didn't have any problems. Hopefully it will be over by the end of summer.  We live in NC.   Ice is the best remedy and I'm going to try the ice packs in socks.  Sounds good!  I also use Sarna an anti-itch lotion that works sometimes or the gold bond rapid relief lotion works as well.  My itching affects both of my upper arms, sometimes at the same time, but usually one day it's one then the other one.  Also my hair has been falling out way too much lately.  Is this a side effect, does anyone know?
