Redness at tip of penis

I have had red patches come and go on the tip of my penis for a few months. This is coupled with a slight itchiness where the shaft and tip meet. I have had STD tests done numerous times to check for everything and nothing has come up. I have no irritation on the red spots but they show up in consistent areas, same place every time. The Doc told me it could be some sort of auto immune response but I wanted to see if anyone has had the same thing. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

Hello,
If the lesions are violaceous like a bruise then lichen planus also needs to be ruled out. Lichen planus is an inflammatory disease that affects the skin and the oral mucosa, and presents itself in the form of papules(flat spots) or rashes. It is an itchy papular eruption characterized by its violaceous color
Treatment is available only on prescription and consists mainly of steroids, retinoids, hydroquinone and phototherapy.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

So it now looks as if some of the patches are more bruise like. Once again no other symptom other than the discoloration and a slight itch every now and then. Otherwise I still have small little red bumps that look like eczema.
Any ideas?

Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be due to eczema skin. Take some antihistaminic like Benadryl or Claritin and apply some calamine lotion on the rash. Also wear cotton clothes and apply good quality moisturizers. If the symptoms persist then please get it examined from a dermatologist.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
