rash one the foreskin below the head of the penis

hello, im a 25 year old male who has not had sex in over 7 months. i have a rash that started  around the foreskin below the head of the penis. the skin look like it had been split and ichted and burned for a while.  this started after i had masturbated maybe once or twice. i have had this before and it took less than a day to go away but this time it didnt go away right away. now it has turned into what looks more like a rash. the rash seems to have spread down the penis to my scrotum. and now its between my legs. i was told this could be "jock itch" so i bought the spray and tried it. for a few days things seemed to start going away. but i masturbated again and it happened again.. and now there is redness around the tip of the urethra .  i
at first i thought it could just be friction burn from masturbating but i dont know how it could last this long.. and why the rash is spreading to my scrotum and other areas that dont get friction at all.
any help would be much apprecialted thank you so much

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms since the rash has spread from the penis to the groins, it can be fungal infection. Most cases of fungal infections respond to over-the-counter products, which contain any of several basic ingredients: miconazole, tolnaftate, terbinafine, ketaconazole and clotrimazole.

Also keep the area dry, wear loose fitting clothes, and change undergarments at least twice a day.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
