Thank you very much for the advice Dr.Bhupinder.
So far it seems to be getting better by applying Dr. Scholl's foot powder as it keeps the area dry and has aluminum hydrochloride (the ingredient from antiperspirants) in it. I will try it for a week and then see how everything looks.

Hello,
From your symptoms it looks like jock itch or tinea cruris. Kepp the area dry and after washing also dry thoroughly by pat drying, not rubbing. A hairdryer is useful if you have hairy groins. The damp groin is an ideal site for fungi to multiply. Also wear cotton underwear and change them twice a day and do not share other people’s towels.
Most cases of tinea cruris respond to over-the-counter products, which contain any of several basic ingredients: miconazole, tolnaftate, terbinafine, ketaconazole and clotrimazole. You can consult a pharmacist and get any cream or lotion containing these ingredients. If the symptoms are severe then oral antifungals may be needed.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
I only seem to be able to upload one picture. If more pictures are required, please let me know and I can PM them to you.
Thanks!
