HELP! Facial rash that won't go away..tried everything!!!

Hi, My sister has had a "rash" on the right side of her face for almost 2 years now.  Here are the details:

-They are flat, open sores.  They don't itch very much but when they do they look to be healing up.  They do hurt especially when water (hot or cold) hits them. Her face turns bright red and it makes the area look worse.
-She had been to 4 doctors and specialists and they have done numerous tests and can't tell her what it is.  It' doesn't look like acne to me.  She is on birth control and Adderoll for ADD but this condition came on long after she started the meds so I don't think that's the reason.
-Her face was perfect before this.  She has tried topical cremes as well as pills.  She has now resorted to Accutane which is ment for acne but she doesn't know what else to do.  It seems to be helping some days but others not and it's drying out her skin.
-She had quit using anything with perfumes in it in the event it's a allergy.

If anyone has any suggestions please let me know!  :)  -Renee

Thanks for that.  She has had the area biopsyed but I'm not sure for what exactly.  I will get more info from here and post any updates.  She has sent through a picture which I may post if she's okay with that.

Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be acne, impetigo, flat warts or herpes sores.

Exactly what is causing these sores can only be confirmed after examination and biopsy of the skin.I sincerely advise you to consult a dermatologist and get these possibilities evaluated.
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how your sister is doing or in case you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
