Hello,
I cannot confirm anything without examination but it can be due to anal fissure. Anal fissure is the lacerated wound made by a cut in anal epithelium. Typically the pain from an acute fissure-in-ano is severe and is precipitated by defecation; it may take minutes to hours to gradually settle.
Other causes of anal pain are anal sepsis, hemarrhoids(piles) and boils.
Pls consult a surgeon and get yourself evaluated for the above possibilities.
Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted on how you are doing and if you have any additional queries.
yeah but it's not upon defecation. i do have hemorrhoids, but i looked w a mirror and i have a half dollar size wound to the left of my anus. i do not believe it is internal. could it just be an adult form of diaper rash caused by sweat?
Hello,
The description of symptoms don’t fit for sweat dermatitis. It causes itchy rashes which are not usually painful.I was saying hemorrhoids because they generally begin as red painful rash which may bleed.
The other possibility is of a boil. A boil, also referred to as a skin abscess, is a localized infection deep in the skin. A boil generally starts as a reddened, tender area. Over time, the area becomes firm and hard. Eventually, the center of the abscess softens and becomes filled with pus. Finally, the pus "forms a head," which can be surgically opened or spontaneously drain out through the surface of the skin.
Boil on buttocks is usually due to plugged sweat glands that become infected or by an ingrown hair.
Apply warm compresses on the boil and keep the area clean.Drainage of the boil is done only when it becomes soft and forms a head.Take some over the counter pain reliever and apply Neosporin or mupirocin cream. If the symptoms persist then consult a doctor for examination and antibiotics prescription.
Hope it helps.Take care and regards.
thank you so much for your advice. i saw my dr today and it is indeed a hemorrdoid issue. evidently my one teeny tiny one i have got folded or creased somehow, and part of it ruptured under the skin causing it to burst. unfortunately, not much i can do but use some otc creams. thanks again, and i know where to go for future medical advice!
