Herpes or Skin problem ?

I had a intercourse with a unknown lady about a year back. I was worried if about HIV first so i took a test after 3months and i came Negative. Now what i worry is about this rash on my buttock which is since almost 8 or 9 months which is itchy and pinkish in color. I applied a ointment called Tenovate (India) as Skin Care medication and it did give me a relief for a while.
I use this ointment on my arm where i used to get a small rash which once applied disappears but comes back again in a few days or months as the Doctor asked me to apply it regularly even if the rash goes to let it go completely but i jus apply until i see the rash gone.
The itchyness on my buttock was even before the intercourse i feel. It was the first time i encountered with an intercourse. In the past ive had two GF with who i never hav any intercourse but kissing was there. I recently had cold, cough, body pain and a i just discovered a small rash on my hand which is smaller than a 50 cent coin and not itchy. i never had any swollen skin or wound kind of thing ever. I am just concern about this rash on my buttock. Can it be herpes? or the same skin problem i had on my arm ??
also.. the rash does not give any irritation or itchyness while walking or sitting.. sometimes only after a shower i feel a little itchy on my buttocks. I havent seen the rash recently. Will have a check today and post if there is any rash actually or if it is only some itchiness.
please help

Hello,
Causes of itchy anal rash include moisture(due to sweating or frequent washing), the abrasion caused by clothing, the pressure of sitting, chemical irritants like laundry soaps, colognes and scented toilet paper, certain food irritants, medicines like some antibiotics and laxatives, infections like STD’s and pinworms, anal abrasions and fissures and skin problems such as psoriasis, seborrhea and eczema. Sometimes hemorrhoids will start off as red rash and anal itching.

Treatment of anal itching depends on the cause of the problem. It may include self-care measures, changes to your diet, treatment of infections or, rarely, surgery to correct an underlying problem. So pls get an examination done by a dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis.Till that time, try an over-the-counter (OTC) cream or ointment containing hydrocortisone (Cortaid, Preparation H),but it is to be applied sparingly to the affected area. A protective ointment that contains zinc oxide (Desitin, Balmex) also may help. If your symptoms are worse at night, pls take an antihistamine like benadryl to reduce itching until topical treatments take effect.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep us posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional queries.Kind regards.
