I think I have some sort of bite on the shaft of penis

This afternoon I was swimming in the my grandfather's pool. I got out of the pool to go change and in the washroom I saw what looked like a bite or maybe a blister on the shaft of my penis. This might have been from the night before when I was around a fire and I was getting bit by mosquitos like crazy or today, I don't know. If you have any ideas how to treat it out what to do, p ok ease let me know. I've never had to deal with this and it seems too embarrassing to talk about with family.

Thanks

To know how to deal with it, it's important to know what it is from.  I haven't heard of many bug bites from mosquitos in that area, so I would probably say that is not likely the cause- however it could have come from your swim suit rubbing up against the area causing an irritation.  At this point, I would just make sure you keep the area clean and don't pick at it.  If it doesn't start to look better, or it gets worse, you may consider having a doctor take a look to ensure it's not infected.

I found out that it's just an ingrown hair. I did some research and I know what to do now so thank you anyways.
Do keep an eye on it, if it has any signs of getting worse/infected- you still should head to your doctor so they can treat it properly.  Best wishes for a speedy healing!
