Irritation surround meatus opening

Irritation/redness around top of meatus opening...tested for chlamydia/gonn/herpes, all negative. Two separate urine tests came back clean. Was given a wks worth of cipro at first (small amount of bacteria, Nurse Pract said possible UTI (after uti urine test).....then was given 5 days worth of flagyl a month ago (for possible trich), and over a week ago was given macrobid for only 3 days (felt better for a couple days). Have seen 2 urologists, both said I'm fine and nothing is wrong. At times it feels like a burning sensation, getting worse when I have to urinate. No discharge or burning while urinating. Any type of antibiotic to try or cream? It's been over 2 months and it's driving me crazy.

Feel it may be yeast, since the redness/irritation seems to only be at the very tip of the penis...I've been trying lotrimin the past couple days just to see the results....thoughts?

After seeing 2 urologists, and followed up with my GP here recently, he perscribed me Nystatin cream. After applying for close to a week, I haven't noticed much of a difference. How long before I start to see any progression with the cream?

It's literally just surrounding the meatus-opening and that's it, the rest of the penis glans are fine. (Given there's no painful urination/or cloudy discharge) would it be possible this be NGU or Mycoplasma/Ureaplasma?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be due to friction rub or balanitis. Balanitis is an inflammation of the glans (the rounded head) of the penis and may be related to yeast infection or poor hygiene. What you need to do is consult a dermatologist and get a KOH examination of the skin scrapings of the penis and a biopsy of small skin sample done if the symptoms persist. KOH examination of the area will clarify whether it is balanitis due to fungal infection or not.
Also use water based lubricants during sex.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
