Is this dark red skin after a scab fell off and indication of scaring ?

So I hit myself with a fork .. don’t ask how.. and I cut my face 2 weeks ago. 2 nights ago the scab fell off in my sleep and the mark under is very red and the mark is a little shallower than the skin around it. What does this mean? Will this go away? What can I do to help it ? It is right under my eye about an inch down from my eye and it’s not pick it’s just red but didn’t bleed when the scab fell off and is about a centimeter long.

Just keep it clean and let it heal. Don't pick at it, don't use topicals.  The face is very vascular, heals quickly, but watch for infection (redness, heat, pain, exudate). Scars do not contain pigment so depending on your skin tone, it could remain lighter than surrounding skin.
