Itchy penis region. Fungus infection?

Hi,

I've recently met a nice girl last week, and we had our first intercourse 4 days ago. Everything from oral to vaginal is protected with a condom. I've left to another country on a trip to see my friends now.

In less than 24 hours, I've noticed a very slight itch on the scrotum area. As time passes, the itch will then slowly move towards the skin of shaft region of my penis. There has been no visible bumps up until now. Sometimes a red rash on the skin can be observed. The itch happens at random time.

Is this a fungus infection? Candida? Or is there something I'm missing out?

I presumed it might be fungus infection, so I am currently using diluted white vinegar to treat myself today. However, I would like to hear all of your opinions.

Hi again.

I had bought an ointment that contains Clotrimazole, Betamethasone dipropionate and Gentamicin (Sulfate), and has been treating myself since for a week. The itch is slowly subsiding, and right now it is barely noticeable. However, I've only just noticed today at my pubic region, there is quite a lot of 'small' whitish patch accompany by 'almost' every follicle there. It is a bit hard to describe it in words, so I will provide a picture later tomorrow. Can this be the effect of the ointment I use, or is there something else I have to keep in mind?

Mind if I add, I am starting to feel a dull aching on the inside of my scrotum. Sometimes it is on the left, other times it is on the right.

Thank you for your helpful input. Seeing a doctor at this time may be a proven difficulty for me, but going to a pharmacy is not.

If possible, can you list the name of the product I can buy in the pharmacy containing all the ingredients you've listed? It would be greatly appreciated. If not, well.. Guess I'll just have to write it down on the list, and give it to the pharmacists myself.

I will keep you posted if the symptom persist. To the others, feel free to post your own opinions.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms it can be due to fungal infection or jock itch. Keep your groin area dry and keep a separate towel for yourself. Most forms of jock itch respond to over-the-counter products, which contain any of several basic ingredients: miconazole, tolnaftate, terbinafine, and clotrimazole.

If the symptoms persist then please get an evaluation done from a dermatologist. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
