Itchy red rash (looked like bites at first) spreading on legs, arms, neck, and face?

I'm not able to go an urgent care because of money constraints, and I'm not able to visit the Student Health Center until Monday. That's why I'm posting this here.

A few "bites" popped up on my arms and legs three days ago. I scratched them a bit that first day, thinking they were just mosquito bites, but they continued to get worse. I stopped scratching, then, at the beginning of the second day.

I haven't been camping, or outdoors at all really (besides walking between classes), so I doubt this is anything poison ivy or poison oak related, or mosquito bites. It's definitely not mosquito bites, it's way too bad for that.

I currently live in a dorm, and washed all my sheets, bedding, and mattress cover, as well as sleeping in a different bed last night, and the rash continued to get worse - which made me think that it wasn't bed bugs.

The marks look most like scabies, but there aren't any trails under my skin. Some of the red marks have a tiny brown scab on the top of them. They started on my arms, got on my legs, traveled to my neck, and are now under my eyes. I can feel tiny bumps on the edge of my lower lip (I don't believe these are cold sores, I've had cold sores before and one has broken out on the top lip now - they are different) and my lower lip has gone a bit pale. The marks are extremely itchy, and once itched spread like crazy.

A year ago, my friend had hand, mouth, and foot disease, and I still have some items from him, in particular a lighter I got out a week or two ago. I know that disease is extremely contagious and would like to put that fact out there.

I've been trying not to let anything touch the marks, including fabric, and have been putting 1% hydrocortisone cream on them, as well as anti-itch lotion. I've taken two extremely hot showers today in hopes that if it is scabies, the heat will deter them. I'm at my wits end here. Is there anyone that can help?
