Small white sack attached to top of son's butt crack

hp_
I am concerned about a small white hairy sack/skin that is at the top of my 12 yr old son's butt crack.  He just recently told me that he felt like he had an itchy bump at the top of his butt crack.  I dismissed it, by telling him to make sure he showers correctly and to keep the area dry.  Well, he came to me again and this time I had a look at it. I found a small sack like piece of I don't know what attached to the top area of his crack.  It looked like hair was attached.  I am completely freaked out.  He will be going to the doctor's in the am.  Just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this.

Help!!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi.

I understand your concern. Does  your child have any problems with urination or bowel movement before?

Any noted problems surrounding his birth?

Any previous hospitalizations?

At this point, your physician will be performing a complete physical examination to ascertain what the significance of this hairy patch  is .If there is no known neurological deficits or problems especially those associated with urination or bowel movement, this may be something superficial.
