Male 24 Hair loss

Hi, I'm a 24 year old male. I eat healthy and exercise about 5 times a week. For the past 3 months my hair has been shedding and shows no sign of improvement. Its especially effecting the front of my scalp as i'm predisposed to hair loss from both my father and mothers side.

Anything beside healthy diet and reduced stress that can help? I've had blood tests done and everything came back perfect. I was hoping to at least reach 30 before I go bald.

Is hair loss reversible? I'm talking about the damage done to the hair line. It's receding pretty bad.

Telogen effluvium is characterized by excessive and early entry of hairs into the telogen phase. Telogen effluvium is a reactive process caused by a metabolic or hormonal stress or by medications. Telogen effluvium is a reactive process caused by a metabolic or hormonal stress or by medications. It can even be mediated by allergic contact dermatitis of the scalp. The treatment consists of a healthy, nutritious diet and vasodilators like Minoxidil. But for this the diagnosis has to be confirmed first. Hence I would suggest a dermatologist’s evaluation and getting a biopsy of the skin done to confirm the diagnosis.

My family doctor has made an appointment for me to see a specialist.

But I think maybe I didn't explain my situation properly. I am aware people lose a lot of hair every day, but I believe my hair loss is Telogen Effluvium, and my doctor agrees. I had a bacterial infection 3-4 months ago that required about 8-9 weeks of antibiotics.
My hair is falling out all over my scalp, but more so in the front due to genetic disposition. So basically the telogen effluvium is speeding up my genetically inherited trait (I think)
My question is since the hair loss seems to be due to the Telogen Effluvium would it be reversible? and if so does treating it early on help the process. My appointment for the specialist is in February which seems pretty far away.
I live in Canada so basically all I can do is wait or hope that someone cancels an appointment and I can slide in a bit early.

Androgenic alopecia is a common form of hair loss and typically occurs in M shaped pattern.

Men who have this type of hair loss usually have inherited the trait. Other causes may be use of some drugs, infections and underlying disease, such as lupus or diabetes. A biopsy (taking a small sample of cells to examine under a microscope) of your scalp may be needed to establish the correct diagnosis.

Depending on your type of hair loss, treatments are available. If a medicine is causing your hair loss, your doctor may be able to prescribe a different medicine and if it is due to infections or systemic disease, then treating it will treat baldness. Medicines which are useful are minoxidil and finasteride .Finally one can resort to hair transplantation also. An evaluation with a dermatologist will be the best.
