Strange white hair

Ok so I found a strange white pokey thing on my back and I had someone pull it out for me and when they handed to me it was hard. I tried to break it with my nail but it didn't break. It's kind of whitish clearish kind of like fishing line. It's not the first time. I have one on my arm too. Everytime I pull it out it leaves a very noticeable hole in my skin. Two weeks later it grows back. What is it?

Infact what you look as hair is denatured keratin from the plug of the cyst!

Sometimes pubic type hairs grow in strange places that have not developed pigment. I also found this that may help.

It's not a cyst. It looks like a hair but it's white and really thick.

The only things I can think of are Morgellons or some other kind of fungal infection.
