Not sure if this is a reaction...

First, this problem has happened on several occasions.  After a "sweaty" workout for several hours, I always seem to break out in some kind of rash.  It looks like a bunch of BIG pimples.  They are red and typically have a white or clear head on them.  In a couple of days, they always seem to clear up with no medication.  I have them as I am typing this as a result of playing 36 holes of golf yesterday in 90 degree heat.  It also seems like it happens when a "sweaty" shirt stays on me for extended periods of time.  If I remove my shirt, it never happens.  I guess my question is a simple one...  Is this some type of "allergic reaction" that I need to get checked out?   Let me also say this... It doesn't ONLY occur where the clothing was touching me.  I will get some on my neck, face and forehead as well.  One last thing.  I am not sure if this is related or not.  I do sometimes get blisters on my scalp as well that tend to itch.  Any help or answers would be appreciated...  Thanks

Hi,
Sweat rash or milaria is a skin disease marked by small and itchy rashes. This is a common ailment in hot and humid conditions, such as in the tropics and during the summer season. This occurs when the sweat gland ducts get plugged due to dead skin cells or bacteria. The trapped sweat then leads to irritation, itching and to a rash of very small blisters. This usually occurs in the face, neck, under the breasts and under the scrotum and areas of the body that may rub against clothing, such as the back, chest, and stomach. This can be prevented by avoiding activities that induce sweating, using air conditioning to cool the environment, or wearing light clothing. However, with the nature of your work, it would be a challenge to do so. You can also try showering frequently because this may also help. Take care and keep us posted.
