Peeling skin of scrotum

On my scrotum dry skin grows, and it gets washed away when I take bathe. If I don't wash it, it covers the whole scrotum and grows on penis skin also. There is no itching, no pain. I have it for more than one years. Recently, tried dermasole shampoo that works, but for only two or three days. The dead brown color crusts comes back again. I have a history of jock itch on my thigh. It was completely disappeared after using anti-fungal cream.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi

I suggest that a microscopic evaluation of the scales be done to ascertain that a fungal infection is present. Other differentials may include a contact dermatitis which has evolved into an eczematous skin condition. You may need an antifungal cream with a corticosteroid preparation for this. If an eczematous skin condition is present here then you may expect recurrence of the symptoms. There is no single definite medical therapy for an eczema. However, let us determine the definite cause of your skin condition first. KOH examination through microscopic evaluation will help.
