Pimple-like growth for years

Hi!

I have a pimple-like bump on my chest. It's been there for about 4 years now. It's growing very slowly yet steadily. Right now it's about 10mm x 7mm in size. It doesn't hurt but sometimes it itches. I've had yearly physical exam before as part of employment requirement but none of the doctors who looked at me ever raise a concern about the bump. I'm normally prone to acne flare up right before my menstrual period or when under stress but they eventually go away. So this one bothers me, and oh, two years after it appears another one grows on my chest. Both of them are along where the bra seam rubs against my skin. I'm scared to go to the doctor cause I'm terrified that it could be something really serious. I included a picture of it. Hope someone shed a light. Hoping for your reply.

Thanks.

Hi there! How did your story finish? Did you go to a doctor? I just have the same pimples in quite few places around my body and going to go to a dermatologist but don't have much hope they 'll tell me much. All GP saying this is a scars but really, they don't look alike, you know.   :o)

Thank you so much for the reply. I will go see a doctor as soon as I summon enough courage. I'm still quiet scared to be honest. I'll let you know what happen. Thanks again.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms it can be a sebaceous cyst. It is filled with a soft, whitish brown material that sometimes oozes out onto the skin's surface. This material is called sebum. Treatment includes small surgical opening into the skin and removing the sac (excision biopsy). But recurrence is quite common. I suggest you to get the diagnosis confirmed from a dermatologist after examination.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
