Purple area raised where chafing

Previously there had been just purple rough skin where i commonly have chafing issues.  However now the area has raised.  Also, it has a pool of blood in it with an opening at the top, but no blood comes out.  When i touched the raised area it could be pushed down to flatten but would rise again.   The area only causes pain when it is in contact with something, such as when i walk.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be due to chafing skin. However if there is severe pain, redness and tenderness then infection and cellulites skin are important possibilities and you need topical and oral antibiotics in that case.

Chafing occurs when the skin becomes irritated by the friction caused by rubbing – either against other skin or against a foreign material. Wash the areas several times with fresh water. Do not use any cosmetic products at the sites. You can apply some calamine lotion at the rash as it will help in soothing the skin. Also wear cotton undergarments.Application of mild corticosteroid cream and oral antiinflammatories like ibuprofen/acetaminophen are also helpful. If the symptoms are severe then it will be best to consult a dermatologist

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

I don't know, but if there is chafing, don't you need to lose weight?  Not to be mean, but if weight is the problem, then treating all the other hundreds of problems that overweight causes is just treating symptoms.
