Red blotches on skin?

Okay so pink blotches blotches on my collarbone and stomach started appearing about 2-3 days ago. It just started as an itch and thought it was just a mosquito bite. I get those a lot. But then, when I looked at it during the night, the area started to get bigger and it was present just below my collarbone too. I think it got worse because of the chicken noodles I ate on the first day, but I noticed the itch appear before that. I don't know what to do at all nor what it is. The t shirts I wear mostly cover it up but the itch is super uncomfortable. And I get goosebumps from time to time because of its itch. I void scratching it since it might get worse. I've had something similar in the past. Just red blotches appearing on skin and when I scratch it too much, it spreads and turns into a large welt. I don't really know how to describe it. Do you guys know what to do about this or what it is? Will taking antihistamine help? We have a lot of those since our family is prone to allergies...

It might be worth a try to take an antihistamine, as it does sound kinda like an allergy,  but it's very hard to say for sure what the cause is.  It's important to figure out what the cause is before you treat the condition- I'd recommend getting an appointment with your doctor to have them take a look at it and determine the cause.  Let us know how you are doing!
