REALLY Itchy bumps for a prolongued period of time

For over a month now I've had these VERY itchy bumps on my skin, and it's becoming difficult to sleep because they itch so bad. It started mostly on my inner thighs, but it's now on my feet, legs, arms, torso, back and mostly my hands. I went to my doctor and he told me to take antihistamines and use lots of lotion, but it's actually getting worse. I hadn't changed any habits when this started, and have in the meantime moved away to college, so I would have left all possible allergens behind. I have 7 roommates and none of them have gotten it, so I don't think it's contagious, but my boyfriend back home had gotten it too.

I have the exact same thing for 3 months now. So does my boyfriend and my boyfriends 3 year old son. We have all done the treatment for scabies and it did not help at all. Then the pediatrician said impetigo. Well that isnt working either. It is very frustrating to itch all the time, worse at night and not be able to do anything about it. It doesnt get worse, per se, just pops up on different parts of the body, mainly where clothing rubs. HELP!!!!!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms it can be dyshidrotic eczema or scabies. Scabies is an infestation of the skin with the Sarcoptes scabiei mite. It is characterized by intense itching, usually at night and by small insect-type bites lesions on the skin. Diagnosis of scabies is made by scraping the skin and viewing the material under a microscope to see the characteristic mite or eggs.

I sincerely suggest you to get it evaluated from a dermatologist and get the diagnosis confirmed as treatment is diagnosis specific.
I sincerely hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you’ve any additional doubts.

If anyone has ANY information in this, I would REALLY appreciate it. I have bruises on my legs from scratching them. That's how bad it is.
