Recurrent thrush / dermatology problem...

For a whle now (over 1 year) i have been suffering really badly with recurrent thrush, most of which is not relieved by medicines for thrush (I have tried 3 different types numerous times).
Recently, in the last few months, I have noticed that when I have intercourse, it becomes sore around the inner labia, even after just one time (this would usually only happen if I had had intercourse many times - I have a long term boyfriend of 11 months).
Then, a little more recently, I noticed what I thought was tissue paper stuck to me after using toilet paper, but after this getting worse and happening every time I used the toilet, it has become apparent that this is dead skin coming from me (all over the inner labia). I have showered and then run my finger along to see if it was and this has confirmed that it is skin coming from me that is increasing in amount every day. I went to a gynocologist for the thrush and BV and they didnt say anything about the external symotoms (it is never internal the thrush) and my doctor is impossible to get in to see (I am at uni full time).
I have lesions on me where there are sometimes openings that are the length of my labia and always around my clitoris, and the skin gathers there as well as being all over the rest of me. I am diabetic, I suffer from psoriasis on my elbows and knees (mildly). Can you help? Thanks

Hello,
From these symptoms exfoliative keratolysis needs to be ruled out. The first sign is one or more superficial air-filled blisters on the fingers or palms. The blisters burst to leave tender, circular areas. The symptoms are aggravated by exposure to irritants including water, soap, detergents and solvents. Treatment includes protection from irritants, emollients hand creams and phototherapy in severe cases.
During the day, hydrate and protect hands with a protective and moisturizing cream. At night, repair them with creams formulated from glycolic acid—a must for improving skin texture and tone. For a more intensive nighttime treatment, apply cream and then cover hands with gloves or socks. Your body heat helps the cream sink deeper into the skin. I would also suggest you to avoid washing hands with soap repeatedly and use gloves while doing any household work.
If the symptoms persist then please get an evaluation done from a dermatologist.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Also, this sounds as if I have everything wrong with me, but my hands and feet are peeling. No itchiness or anything at all, but little blisters form and the skin just peels off. It's on my palm and pretty much all over my feet! Its madness! x

Hello,
Since you have psoriasis, so it can be effecting the anal and perineal area also which can be presenting with such symptoms. The other possibility is of seborrheic dermatitis. Seborrheic dermatitis is a common skin condition that causes flaky, dry, white to yellowish scales to form on oily areas esp under the nose or anywhere on face. People with seborrheic dermatitis produce too much sebum (the natural skin oil). Later, pityrosporum yeast grows excessively in the sebum, sometime along with bacteria, making the dermatitis more persistent.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
