Steroid Dermatitis

Dear Experts,
I have been diagnosed with 'Steroid Dermatitis' & 'Rtenoid Dermatitis'. I have been using steroid induced creams over mt face and neck for a very long period of time. I used Tenovate. I have stopped using it now and am is undergoing the treatment for the same. Now I am suffering form the withdraw symptoms of the topical use of steroid like itching, red spots, imflamation, burning sensations, excessive dryness, flaky skin and dullness and scars all over. My questions are as follows:
1. How long will my skin take to heal? The doc has given me a time of 6 months.
2. After healing will my skin be completely problem free and flawless as earlier?
3. Besides the symptoms that I have listed above, do I have to look forward to any other symptoms also?
4.Will I be able to lead a normal lifestyle after healing?

Please experts advice as I am in a lot of pain.

Thanks

You have made a big mistake by applying potent steroid for a prolonged period.Your doctor is right that it will take some months before skin remodeling occur.
Do follow your doctor and you should be ok, in time.
Best wishes.
