Scrotum sckin hard and black due to irritation and scrathing

hi

i have an itching problem near my scrotum. The scrotum skin has become very hard and black. This has been persisting for past 3-4 months now. Its now so severe that i need to scratch even during day times which has caused some blisters .
I am very apprenhsive before going for sex as i thinkthis will make the girl believe that i have some disease, which might lead to no sex at all.

Kindly advice

No doctor out there will care. Trust me.

I have had this syndrome for 9 years now. They would tell me I have a fungi problem, then say it's all in my mind and I need to stop scratching. This is all BS. Take advice from someone who has had nearly a decade of experience with this disease.

Look it up at ************.com
It's called Red Scrotum Syndrome and Red Scrotum Disease.

No doctor, person, or official knows the root cause. They will just give you meds to cover up the syptoms, and it will come back even more itchy. By 9 years you would have ended up making countless trips to the doctor's office and spending hundreds on meds.

That is all doctors care about, money.
Some cures I've heard about which people found on their own were:
1. Starting a candida diet
2. Miracle Mineral Supplement
3. Oral Doxycycline

GL to you. I am still not cured. I am suicidal and hate my life. I am so close to quiting work and becoming homeless.

Hi

This discoloration may be due to the scratching. This sounds like postinflammatory hyperpigmentation. Lichenified skin may also thicken the areas. These conditions are secondary to inflammation or infections .The cause of the itchiness have to be ascertained. Skin scrapings from the area may be obtained and microscopically evaluated. This would help ascertain if a fungal infection is present. Apply hydrocortisone 1% cream over the itchy areas and see if this helps alleviates the itchiness in two days. If there is no response, then you may have to have this further assessed.
