Shingles

I have had eczema all of my life but recently I broke out on my back, leggs, neck, both of my sides and forehead.
I went to the dermatologist and he sad it was not my eczema but an allergy and perscribed me Lidex cream.minocin, and hydroxyz HCL. People who have seen the rash says it looks like shingles.  However I have had no paid just itching.  6 weeks later it seems to be clearing up but very little.  I don't know if I need to see another doctor or what but I look like a zebra and bumps on my forhead itch the most.

Hi,

Shingles is also caused by the same virus that causes chicken pox. If you had chicken pox before, this could be a possibility. However, shingles usually occur at one dermatome area, a part of the body supplied by one nerve tract and where the virus remains dormant for some time. There is also associated nerve pain with this.
Are there other signs or symptoms present? Do you have a history of allergies? If it still persists, it would be best to see your doctor for further evaluation and management.

Take care and keep us posted.
