Small White Bumps, Base of Penis

I have had a burning sensation and itchiness in my urethra when I urinate and itchiness sometimes randomly. I have waited about a month now to see if it will subside, but it has not. I also noticed a single white "bump," extremely small, at the base of a hair near the base of my penis. I examined this bump and squeezed it a little. After a few days I squeezed it more and some slightly solid, what appeared to be off-white puss came out, clearly from inside the bump, at the base of the hair. Now it is a red bump because blood came out next from continued squeezing. Now I have more white bumps on my penis and in my pubic hair, just below the first bump. I have noticed some bumps more near mid-penis appear, then disappear in a couple of days. I have a girlfriend and we have regular, unprotected sex. She has not had a yeast infection recently, and so I am unsure what this may be, but I am very frightened.

Hi

You are welcome. Refrain from any sexual activity for now. Drink plenty of water and follow your doctor's advice especially when medications are concerned. Comply with the medications and note for any improvement with the symptoms. Maintain good genital hygiene. Use only a bland and mild cleanser to wash the area.

Keep us updated for anything.

Update--

Went to the doctor, he ran tests on me and said I do not have a UTI, but probably gonorrhea or a similar STD. "Probably not herpes, based on the look of the sores on the base of my penis. They are probably irritated from intercourse, even a month ago." They are running blood work and a urine culture on me.

Thanks for the pre-doctor advice.

Thanks, I will consult a physician. I have a sore on my forehead that is like a pimple but won't go away. I hope I didn't spread it there. I need to see a doctor!!

Hi

With a significant history of sexual disease, STD or VD are always likely differentials. However, in your case a bacterial infection like folliculitis have to be ruled out first. This is not necessarily sexually transmitted however, sexual activity does increase the risk for its spread.

You may need topical medications for this. Refrain from frequently touching the area as this may only facilitate spread.

No, I've never had one before (UTI).

I always touch it and there are more, probably about 4 in a cluster in my pubic hair, and about 6 strange looking lighter spots in my penis skin, near the base. I guess I need to see a physician, but I'm wondering the likelihood that this is a VD?

Hi.

The bump you have noted may be a case of folliculitis. This may have to be treated if more bumps appear. Just refrain from touching the area as this may only cause further spread and irritation. Wash your hands thoroughly.

As for the burning sensation in the urethra, I suggest that you have this assessed by your primary physician. A baseline urinalysis to rule out any urinary tract infection may be needed. A urethral swab and urine culture may also help guide treatment.

Have you had bouts of urinary tract infections before?
