Sporadic Pink Patches @ low weist and leg

My wife has been experiencing a chronic skin problems for years (more than 10), these are pink patches 2" but, last ones was 2 of them around her back weist, it appeared 6 months ago and stayed ther for almost 5 months at end it just leave an hematoma. the last one appeared 1 month ago in her left leg and still is there almost gone.

A dermatologist said 10 years ago that these is caused by stress, when she uses clobetasol it go away in less time (4 weeks)

Neurodermatitis goes for a long time.External application of steroids for short term and then to vaseline for longer periods.Mind relaxing techniques may help too.

Does it has cure? If it was neurodermatitis, how long is the normal average time eliminate patches?
