Spots.

Lately I've been getting some spots in my pubic hair near my vagina. It's just the one spot and it's always in the same place. I've had it ever since I had my first period (about 6 months ago) I didn't think much of it then as it had just appeared, but now I'm very worried. It doesn't itch, bleed or have any type of 'head' on it. I have never had sex (as im 13!!) and I'm really embarrassed so I haven't told anyone. I'm getting worried as I keep thinking the worst (cancer, STD's) and the spot won't go away. I don't shave down there as... I don't need to. It's red and feels hard and when I pick at it, it has puss coming out of it (but not always) then it scabs over and seems to go away for a while. But it always returns!! PLEASE HELP IM GETTING SOOO WORRIED!!!

Hello,
It can be due to irritated hair follicles or a small cyst. Blocked sebaceous glands, swollen hair follicles and excessive testosterone production will cause cysts.

Generally no treatment is required but they become painful then it means they are infected, then topical and oral antibiotics and surgical excision by traditional wide excision, minimal excision, and punch biopsy excision may be required.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
