Hi there,
I was googling my problem and ended up here.
I have the exact same problem. It's only slightly visible on my face, but my breasts are the biggest problem. My nipples vanished entirely and now I have 2 big white spots.. Of *all* places..
I used to undergo light therapy treatment and some other stuff but nothing helped.. They also don't give me permission for pigment tattoo because the spots are still growing, it's very frustrating, and I have a very hard time to except it ..
I was just wondering... How are you handling this?
Have you been under any treatment?
I am concerned as well because my dermatologist mentioned my face particularly around my mouth and cheeks was starting to become discolored. Thankfully it is barely noticeable but again haven't tried creams in this area yet
Thank you for your response. Yes I have seen some very symmetrical vitiligo however never on/around the nipple. Which I guess may be due to the fact that not many people would showcase this area.
We have tried steroid and vitamin creams with no improvement and I get the feeling it continues to spread (past the bra line which is annoying). Fake tan covers this up but would be great to make it stop/go back to how it was all together
Hi,
Vitiligo appears to occur when immune cells destroy the cells that produce brown pigment, and may be associated with autoimmune diseases. This often affects the face, elbows and knees, hands and feet, and genitals. This affects both sides of the body equally. Take care and do keep us posted.
