Hi,
Are there other signs and symptoms present? The most common symptoms of yeast infection in male are irritation, itching, redness and soreness of the head of the penis. Aside from being infected by your partner, prolonged antibiotic use or having diabetes could lead to this condition. Avoid irritation and antifungal drugs such as ketoconazole could help, but if your condition persists, it would be best to see your doctor for proper evaluation and management. Take care and keep us posted.
No itching or soreness. As I said the tip is a little redder then usual. I am a virgin and don't have a "partner". No antibiotic use and don't have diabetes. Thanks for the help.
My boyfriend also has this or something similar. It happened after a 10 day vacation on a beach as well. We thought it was just chaffing (excessive heat, beach, salt water, wet bathing suits etc) but its been 2 weeks now and hasnt gone away. We avoided sex for 4 days thinking it would clear but it hasnt. Could this be a male yeast infection? I'm starting to get sore on the same side of my vagina but this is new and I'm not sure if it's just in my head. We are purely monogamous.
How does a male yeast infection present? I'm not having any typical symptoms myself. I know that with guys they usually dont notice until it starts affecting them in other ways; Candida in their blood stream affecting their digestive track, fatigue etc.
Could this be caused from irritation due to new condoms? He says he's never had a reaction to condoms before whereas I have.
Were in China for the next several months and not sure what to do in terms of medical care.
Any ideas?
