Vaginal itching

Hi,
I have experiencing an intense vaginal itching (with burning and erythema) during fews days (approx 6 days) prior to the onset of menses. But there is no discharge or colored patches around the infected area. I had this problem for past  one year. Not all the months i am facing this. My age is 23.
I had consulted a gyneac, who prescribed me a perianal washing lotion and an antifungal dust powder which has no mean to relief permanently (i hadn't go for any lab testings).Since i am a married (6 months back), it would be feeling of guilty so and after this i don wanna meet anymore Specialists and would like to  resolve of my own.
If any of the specialist could suggest me the best way,i would be thankful to them... Please consider my query and give me a right solution.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,

Vaginal itching before menstrual cycles can be due to change in hormones during this period, contact dermatitis, vaginitis(inflammation of the vagina) or candida infection.

Candidiasis is caused by the overgrowth of yeast-like fungi called Candida. Candida inhabit the vagina, mouth and digestive tract in small numbers and are normally harmless. When the balance of naturally occurring organisms in the vagina is disrupted an overgrowth of Candida can occur.

Take some precautionary measures like avoid wearing tight fitting clothing like jeans and pantyhose and underwear made from synthetic fibresRemove wet or damp bathing suits immediately after swimming, avoid douching, perfumed soaps, bubble baths and toiletries, change underwear daily, wash underwear in hot water (to destroy fungi) and double rinse (to remove any irritating detergent) and take adequate nutrition and sleep. Also use some antifungal pessaries like clotrimazole (Femizole-7), miconazole (Monistat-Derm, Monistat Vaginal) or nystatin which are available over the counter. If still the symptoms persist then oral antifungals may be needed.Pls consult a gynecologist in that case.

Hope it helps.Take care and pls do keep me posted if you have any additional doubts.Kind regards.
