Hi,

What is your age? What medications have you been prescribed?

Scrotal itching is a common symptom of a fungal infection or contact dermatitis especially when the environment is warm.

Contact dermatitis is an allergic reaction of the skin to some substance. Heat generated under the bed clothes causes the scrotum to sweat and thus increases scrotum irritation. If no rash is present, try a drying talc, like baby powder.

If a rash is present you may try a medicated antifungal powder, cream or spray. If this does not help, you a may try a different detergent for your laundry.

If the symptoms still persist, consult your skin specialist or dermatologist.

Let us know about how you are doing and if you have any other doubts.

Regards.

Hi

Anogenital pruritus is defined as an itch localized to the anus, perianal, and genital skin. It is usually a symptom of an underlying disorder of the skin or mucosa or a consequence of anorectal pathology.

There may be several other causes of a badly itching scrotum such as fungal infection, skin disorders such as eczema. When no demonstrable cause is found, anogenital pruritus is often described as "idiopathic".

Sometimes idiopathic anogenital pruritus may be attributable to lumbosacral radiculopathy. Paravertebral blockade may be used for alleviation of symptoms in patients with anogenital pruritus.

You may discuss with your doctor about this.
