WOULD LOVE SOMEONE TO PLEASE HELP ME FIND OUT WHAT THIS RASH IS.

hi im a 27 year old male and I have a rash all over the lower part of my body (waist down). I had the rash for over 2 months now. It started on my penis and moved down to my legs and also by butt. The rash is more like open cuts. I went and got tested for  std's and everything came up clear. I cut are very itchy and will not heal. I went to the dermatologist four days ago and he couldn't tell me what it was, He just prescribed me two medications, one oral which i don't have the name right now and the other is a cream (desoximetasone). I don't feel like it is working. Does anyone have any idea what this could be, please help me. Thank you.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms that you have described, chances are less that it is a fungal infection as fungal infection is usually wet and itchy. It does not present as dry cut like itchy skin. Such a symptom can be due to intertrigo skin or eczema skin. Intertrigo most commonly occurs due to bacterial, viral or fungal infection. An intertrigo usually appears red and raw-looking, and may also itch, ooze, and be sore.

I suggest you to get the diagnosis confirmed from a dermatologist.
It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
