Weird thing on my leg

I regularly check out my public region for irregularities. Two days ago i found an area on my leg that looked suspect. It was a tiny irregularity no bigger than 1 mm, it appeared to be a singular non raised white blister (or membrane) with a distinct fiery red halo surrounding it. It was located on my hamstring closer to my knee than to my genital region. I picked it (i know im not supposed to do that) it secreted some clear fluid and blood. It also seemed to have a hair growing out of the area but i cant tell for certain. Im paranoid this is herpes even though i've only had two monogamous partners my whole life. I also play sports and was wondering if this sounds like a bacterial or fungal infection. Its only one area and just looks red now that ive picked at it. Any ideas what this could be?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms it sounds like folliculitis. Folliculitis starts when hair follicles are damaged by friction from clothing or blockage of the follicle. Please keep the area clean and apply some topical antiseptics. Also wear loose-fitting cotton clothing and use an antibacterial soap or mild soap like dove. Avoid any kind of cosmetics. Topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. In case the symptoms persist then oral antibiotics may be needed. Please consult a dermatologist in that case.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
