What could this be?

two nights ago my chin ( right under my lip) was itchy. I noticed three small ( less than a pen mark) dots which looked like pimples. i woke up the next morning with a blister where the dots had been and my lips is swelling and REAL chapped. My gland under my chin is swelling and tender to the touch. I feel tried and get hot easy. I started my menstral cycle yesterday as well. I have been tested for STD's and they were negative. What could this be?

Still not sure what it is / was. The glad swelled for 3 days and started to hurt. The swelling of the lip lasted about the same. Now the swelling is gone and so is the blister. It is still trying to completely heal. I was advised to put some neosporn and abrivia on it. The neosporn helped more than the abrivia. I remembered that I had something similuar to it on my upper butt cheek ( almost my back) and the doctor did not really know what it was. He did blood work and took a swab of the blister's contents. Then he said it might be dermatitis but the antibotics did not cure it. It acted the same as this and healed on its own after about two weeks. It is so strange. I guess I have a new non contagious virus that breaks out rarely :o/

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
From the symptoms it can be irritated hair follicles around the lips, contact dermatitis or cold sores. Pain, burning, tingling, or itching occurs at the infection site before the sores appear. Then clusters of blisters erupt which break down. You need to get some investigations like sample from the sores to identify the virus, culture analysis, Tzanck smear, antigen and antibody studies and blood sampling for antibody studies done to confirm the diagnosis. My sincere advice would be to consult a dermatologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

It could be blackheads that turned into a pustule, caused by a drop of your progesterone hormones right before your cycle.  But you mentioned a gland swelling.  Are you getting sick?  It could be a garden-variety cold sore.  Try OTC cold sore treatment with pain reliever for a few days to see if that helps. Hope you have relief soon.

well i get something sim. to that.. ill get little dots and they will turn into a blister like object that hurts like hell. usually just a massive annoying pimple ick.and it does huurt to touch a bit. but i have never had swelling. everyone reacts differently when they get their cycle. for instance. i get heartburn. feel tired get hotflashes and can hardly stand and have frequent trips to the washroom. my symptoms are usually different each month. i would suggest to keep an eye on it for a couple of days to see if it gets worse or lessons. as it could just be a new reaction to your cycle. but if you are very worried i would suggest seeing your doctor as soon as you can because they would be the best person to tell you whats wrong. best of luck :)
