What is a rash that is itchy and looks like ant bites?

I have had a bump or two come up between my toes 1-2 x a year. It'll itch and then go away. I've learned though that if I pop them they spread. Well now I have them on the inside of my foot in-between my big toe and my arch. This is the first time they appeared anywhere differently. They itched so bad I ended up popping them and of course they spread (when popped the itching subsides immediately!). I've used tea tree oil direct without the dilution of a carrier oil and it helps dry up the ones that have been popped but it is all still spreading. I have no clue what this is? Is this some kind of nasty fungus?? :( I can't wear any sandals or go get a pedi because it looks so nasty. Please help.
