What could cause a knot in my right forearm to appear out of nowhere?

I have a knot thats about the size of a quarter in my right forearm that is quite painful and has caused my arm to bruise. When the knot first started to appear it was about the size of a pea and within an 45 minutes to an hour its grew to quarter size.I have not hit my arm on anything nor done anything else to cause this to happen.

If it's painful and growing that fast, it's time to have a doctor take a look at it.  I wouldn't mess with trying to guess the cause- rather get to a medical professional who can get your medical history and do an in person exam to see, with more certainty, what is happening.

Thank you
I agree. Please see a doctor and let us know what happens. That sounds very concerning.
