White patches

I have white patches along my jaw line and now I seem to be getting a few more spots everyday.  I went to a dermatologist and she said it was yeast.  How do I get rid of these patches they are small circles and are white not itchy oranything and I can not cover them up with anything.  Is there something I can try over the counter to see if they disapere?

Hi

White patches on the skin may have pityriasis alba, tinea vesicular, post inflammatory hypo pigmentation and vitiligo as differentials. Pityriasis alba may be ruled out here as this is far more common in children. As for vitiligo, the skin condition is notably stark white and well demarcated. Tinea versicolor appears to be the more likely differential here. Skin scrapings from the area may be evaluated through KOH examination or thorough microscopic evaluation. You may need to apply topical antifungal creams over the area. Itchiness may increase the likelihood of a yeast or fungal infection. Tinea versicolor may have a light colored scaling center.

I was wondering if you've had any improvement with your condition. I think I may have the same thing you do/did.. but I noticed mine after I got home from delivering my baby. I asked my dr about it and she said that it might be fungal/yeast also.. but I had taken diflucan for a week, normally it's just a one day dose, for something related to breastfeeding.. and I didn't notice any change. Were you able to get rid of your spots.. if so.. what did you do?
