concerned about mark on tip of penis

for years I have had this tiny little crater on the tip of my penis next to my urethra. It looks like a layer is missing and it goes to the next layer of skin. It has been there for at least 5 years, and if I recall correctly I think it may be a scar. I just want to make sure that since its been there for so long that its definitely not an open wound of any sort. I know its dumb, but I just wanted to make sure.

Hello,

If it is a scar then it seems to be an atrophic one as I said earlier because the scar is depressed and pitted. If it is causing no symptoms then it should be left as such but if it is cosmetically not looking good then the treatment options like dermafillers and collagen injections can be used.
I hope this helps. Take care and regards.

Hello,
It can be an atrophic scar which can cause a pit or depression like scar. These are caused when underlying structures supporting the skin, such as fat or muscle, are lost. If these are not causing any symptom then they should be left as such but if they are cosmetically unsuitable,  then  derma injections or collagen injections can be tried.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
