Hi,
Swelling of the vulva or labia majora may indicate irritation, infection, or hormonal causes. Sebcaious cysts and Bartholin's cyst are also differentials that needs to be ruled out. In particular, Bartholin's gland cyst is a fluid-filled swelling of a Bartholin's gland. Bartholin's glands are two small glands on each side of the opening of the vagina. TThe glands produce a fluid that helps protect the tissues around the vagina and provides lubrication during sexual intercourse. A cyst may develop when the duct of one of the glands becomes swollen and blocked and in cases where there is injury, irritation, or infection that may cause a buildup of fluid and swelling that blocks the duct It presents with swelling, tenderness, pain or discomfort during sexual intercourse and swollen, red and irritated labia.
I would recommend that you have this evaluated by your gynecologist for proper diagnosis. Direct clinical evaluation and pelvic examination are essential. Take care and keep us posted.
