Bug Bite Infected Continuously Oozing Clear Fluid

Hi There,

I must have been bitten by a bug on my outer earlobe and infected it by scratching (Monday).

It has since turned red, burning and swollen since yesterday (Tuesday morning). I cleaned it with a cotton ball and hydrogen peroxide twice yesterday. I didn't cover it or put any antibiotics on it, thinking air would help it breathe and dry out.

It started burning again in the night and it has been oozing and dripping continuously today.

Is there anything I should be aware of? Anything I should be doing instead? Anything I should be looking out for while monitoring?

About how long is normal for this to go on before it heals?

I have since stopped touching or cleaning it with peroxide or anything else.

The fluid is clear and thin, no smell. There are no blisters or pus that I can see.

No fever or chills.

I'm hoping to avoid a trip to the doctor or any kind of unnecessary or prescribed medication if possible.
