can my husband have a yeast infection?

My husband has red spots all over his body (not itchy, just sore), open sores between his toes, and 3x antibiotic ointment didn't help.  He is going to the doctor today, but is it possible that he has a yeast or some other fungal infection?  Thank you.

Thank you so much for your help!  My husband went to his doctor today.  Dr. said that he looked like he had two things going on, hand, foot, and mouth virus and a fungal infection.  No blood tests or biopsies yet, just see if it worsens over the next few days.  FYI:  My husband is an otherwise healthy 41-yr. old.  We are new to Japan from the U.S. and are still adjusting to new foods, weather, etc.

I appreciate your time and consideration!

Best wishes!

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It is very difficult confirming a diagnosis but it can be boils, bedsores, pediculosis, dermatitis, pemphigus, circulatory disorders or due to diabetes. What exactly it is can be confirmed only after an examination and investigations like blood tests, clotting and bleeding profile and skin biopsy. A dermatologist’s evaluation will be the best because without examination, confirmation of a diagnosis is tough.
I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted in case you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
