clubbed fingers

I have noticed that 6 fingers and both thumbs have changed to look like an upside down spoon.  It has been taking place over the past 2 years. My toes have been clubbed for years as well,  I never thought anything of it until I was in my Pulmonary Drs appt. for a follow-up.

He did his usual question and answer routine then asked if he could see my hands.  So of course I did.  He said I should go see a dermatologist because I have clubbed fingers and nails.

I have LVDD, tricuspid regurgitation, abnormal EKGs, water retention, neuromuscular lungs and much more - so why would I need to see a dermatologist?  What can they do for me?

What a circle I have been in - I went to my dermatologist who confirmed the diagnosis of clubbed fingers and toes - no infections or fungi he said to go back to the Pulmonary as my problem is low oxygen in the blood.

I called the Pulm. Dr only for him to tell me then I needed to see a cardio Dr.

Needless to say I have appt. scheduled to go to Mayo to try to sort this out.  I have shortness of breath all the time,  Pots - blood pressure drops rapidly when I stand and a host of other health issues.  Thanks for your input.

While I am not sure whether much information could be added yet possibly the dermatologist may try to rule out some syndromes associated with clubbing.
Best wishes.
