Hello,
Your daughter seems to be having hirsutism. Hirsutism with weight gain is commonly found in hormonal imbalance, Cushing’s syndrome, hyperprolactinemia and polycystic ovarian disease. To confirm the diagnosis please get an evaluation done from an endocrinologist.
I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Does she have hair under her arms or in her pubic area? Sometimes these things can be caused by hormonal imbalances. That can be tested with a simple blood test; however, it could also be genetic. I doubt the meds have anything to do with the hair growth unless it is a side effect. YOu should ask your doctor. But the weight gain and hair make it sound hormonal. Good luck and I hope this helps!
