could small cut on my upper lip be herpes?

my lip had been sore for about a day or two before I discovered a small cut on the edge of my upper lip where the skin and lip meet (not the corner of my mouth). It only burns when I bother it is hardly visible, it is a very thin, small, red cut, and it seems to be swollen. There are no bumps, It doesn't seem to be a blister or cold sore and I haven't kissed anyone. could this cut be a sign of herpes?
