ltchy palm on left hand

I've been having itchy palm too on my left hand for months and worried that this signals a more serious problem. I don't have any bumps but it's pinkish in color due to scratching. I hope there's someone who can help me on this matter.

Hi

With a history of asthma, then this itchiness may be secondary to a dermatitis specifically irritant or allergic type. You may need oral antihistamines to alleviate the itching. As there are no redness or rash present in the area, you may not necessarily need to apply any medicated lotions or creams. Wash your hands with a mild cleanser. Soak in warm water with menthol or camphor to cool your hands. Try to moisturize with vitamin E cream everyday .Avoid any known triggers.

Hi

This may be an irritant or xerotic dermatitis. Refrain from washing your hands frequently and try to use a mild and bland cleanser . Washing the hands often and using abrasive cleansers may cause irritation, tingling or burning sensation over the palm which may suggest a dermatitis. I suggest that you have this assessed by a dermatologist. You may need oral antihistamines for this.

Do you have any history of allergies?
