what are some ways to alleviate the itiching.  the buring/itching feeling is so intense that i cannot focus while studying and sleeping is greatly reduced because of discomfort.  I have tried cold compresses but they are becoming less and less effective.  I have topical steroids and have been on oral steroids.  After the use of the oral steroids, the blisters came back twice as bad and have not gone away.  what can i do to stop the itching!

Hi,

Dyshidrotic eczema is usually asociated with an initial case of dyshidrosis.Dyhidrosis is noninflammatory and associated with clustered vesicles usually involving the digits. These vesicles are quite tough and difficult to "pop" .Eczema comes in when the itch scratch cycle begins.Itching requires one to scratch and scratching may cause irritation and excoriations of the dyshidrotic skin leading to eczema. This  process will eventually involve otherwise normal skin.

Stress, constant exposure to an irritant and repeated manipulation or scratching usually aggravate the condition.
