You can check and see but antibiotics won't help it unless of course it's an allergic reaction. (Hives, swelling,and itching would be signs of that which is why I don't think it's an allergic reaction).

Thanks. It is pretty painful.....So not even antibiotics will help? I was thinking I would go to the Doc tomorrow but if those won't help, I won't go...
That would be what is called a cystic pimple (those which are actually rooted to the dermis of the skin). If you mess with it, it will get bigger. The only thing that will help being the swelling down will be the ice. Hydrocortisone cream is what is used to treat them but even applying that it could take up to a week to make it go away.
If it isn't healed within a week you should go we a dermatologist because it could be a sebaceous cyst which in that case s/he will have to drain it. S/he will numb the skin and make a small incision (which won't scar) and will squeeze all the infection out being sure to get the root because without getting the root of it the cyst will keep popping up.
