I have the same problem and i realize that your diet is a key role.  You need to ensure that your body has enough iron. You need to protect your skin by using sunscreen before you go out.  Please do not try the lemon idea for it is acidic, it burns your skin in a long term process and in the future it will get worse.  Use sunscreen and apply cold creams, stop excessive makeup usage and do not wax or pluck hair near your moustache, try threading and DO NOT bleach.

Hi,
Hyper pigmentation is a common, usually harmless condition in which patches of skin become darker in color than the normal surrounding skin. This darkening occurs when an excess of melanin, the brown pigment that produces normal skin color, forms deposits in the skin.

This is more common in dark-skinned individuals and can be made worse by sun exposure. This happens because melanin absorbs the energy of the sun's harmful ultraviolet rays in order to protect he skin from overexposure. The usual result of this process is skin tanning, which tends to darken areas that are already hyper pigmented.

You can use skin lightening agents such as Hydroquinone 2-4%. Bleaches lighten and fade darkened skin patches by slowing the production of melanin so those dark spots gradually fade to match normal skin coloration.
You will have to wait at least for 3 months for the results to show up.
